Education Support
Tuition, and Therapy Centres
We currently have four Education Support, Tuition and Therapy Centres, in Cumbria. At our centres we provide an alternative provision for children and young people who are struggling in or excluded from school, or those awaiting a suitable education placement. Places can be short term or long term and either a few hours a week. We also offer 1:1 tuition for your child/children or small group work sessions after school for your child and their friends. Many children need extra support around exam time and SATS and GCSE's in particular and completing homework outside of the home in a calm and tranquil environment with qualified staff can be of great benefit. All of our tutors and Education Support Workers are DBS checked and there is always a first aider on site.

OUR
DALSTON CENTRE
Our Dalston Centre provides a safe, calm, and nurturing learning environment designed to support the wellbeing of all learners. With a dedicated team of experienced and trained staff, we prioritise creating a positive atmosphere where students can thrive both academically and personally. We provide essential educational support to children and young people facing challenges such as mental health issues, anxiety, or those with an EHCP. We also cater to students who, for various reasons, are unable to access mainstream education, ensuring they receive the care and learning opportunities they need to succeed.

OUR
Rockcliffe Centre (Secondary)
Educla Rockcliffe Centre, situated on the outskirts of Carlisle in a rural area, provides a homely, supportive, and calm environment for secondary and post-16 students. The centre specialises in tailored timetables to meet the unique needs of each learner, ensuring flexibility and individualised support. Rockcliffe staff are dedicated to nurturing social, emotional, and mental health needs, behavioural needs and special educational needs alongside functional skills and GCSE support. The two-story facility includes spacious classrooms, an ICT suite, and a calming breakout room known as "The Snug." Students can enjoy freshly prepared home-cooked meals in the on-site kitchen, utilise the hair and beauty salon for post-16 practical learning, and relax in the social area during breaks. The centre also assists learners in exploring future choices and collaborates closely with external professionals such as Inspira, EHCP coordinators, and inclusion teams to provide a well-rounded educational experience.

DBFY, located within Educla’s Rockcliffe building, complements Educla’s offerings by providing a second provision that helps students build a full-time, well-rounded timetable across both alternative provisions. DBFY focuses on developing essential life skills through independent living lessons, GCSE and Functional Skills revision sessions, cookery classes, and sports activities. Like Educla, DBFY emphasises pastoral support, supporting young people through a therapeutic, hands-on approach to learning that nurtures personal growth. Together, Educla and DBFY create a comprehensive and supportive environment for students to thrive.
